|About the Bride and Groom
Courtney Bissonnet was born in Houston, Texas, to Brad Bissonnet
and Valarie Childs. She spent most of her childhood in Georgetown
to the north of Austin. Courtney is a graduate of Southwestern
University in Georgetown and is currently working toward a graduate
degree at The University of Texas. Courtney has completed the
last two Motorola Marathons in Austin.
Scott Lucas was born in Arlington, Texas, to Richard and Becky
Lucas. He lived mostly in Arlington before moving to Austin, where
he graduated from The University of Texas. Scott works for Austin
Valuation Consultants, Ltd., and has published several boring
articles about real estate appraisal and environmental contamination.
He makes a swell margarita and refuses to run longer than ten
Courtney and Scott met on December 31, 1998, at a New Year's
party hosted by the groom. They dated briefly before going their
separate ways (like the Journey song). They met again in 2001
and have been together ever since. They live in central Austin
with three well-fed cats.
Scott proposed to Courtney on 15 February 2004 (her birthday)
at the finish line of the 2004 Motorola Marathon.

|Contingencies for UT Football
The University of Texas plays the University of Missouri on
the wedding day at Darrel K. Royal - Memorial Stadium. The game
begins at 230pm, so it probably will be ending near 530pm. This
is obviously not ideal, and for that we are sorry, but we had
to pick our time first.
If you are arriving from the north, you might try taking MoPac
rather than I-35. From MoPac, you can take the Enfield exit and
drive east all the way to Lavaca. A left turn on Lavaca and three
blocks north puts you at Scottish Rite.
If you are coming from the south, consider exiting I-35 at Riverside
Drive (south of the river). Follow Riverside west to 1st street
(the light past Congress) and take a right. 1st Street become
Lavaca as it crosses the river; you can follow Lavaca all the
way to Scottish Rite at the corner of Lavaca and 18th.
The routes above should put you in the opposite direction from
traffic leaving the game.
|For the wedding party and invited guests, the rehearsal will take
place at the Theatre on Friday, 15 October, 6pm. Dinner afterward
at the Shoreline
